Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for over 20 years. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak have gained her widespread popularity during the 21st Century. Swift's passion for music was evident when she was a young age. From children's plays to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at age 11. She was already writing songs. In the following year, she started playing the guitar. Swift was a singer who took inspirations from Shania Twain's music as well as the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm of music from the country genre, composed the songs of her own to convey the feeling of being alienated. Swift's family moved into Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she could spend more time exploring country music labels in Nashville.
